Stairlift installation questions

A: Stairlifts are fitted by attaching the track to the stairs using a minimum of three brackets, each secured to a stair by four screws. Longer or curved stairlifts require more work and more attachment points but the general principle is the same.
A: No, please see above for an explanation of how your stairlift will be secured to the stairs. No structural work would be required for a typical straight stairlift installation; we work cleanly and professionally and will always clean up after ourselves.
A: Modern stairlifts charge from a charger about the size and shape of a mobile phone charger; the only wiring will be the thin wire from the plug to the track; and we can usually hide this under carpet or skirting boards.
A: Yes, absolutely, we simply remove the track by removing the screws, the carpet will ‘fluff up’ over time and in almost all cases you would not know that a stairlift had ever been fitted.
A: We offer a new carpet service where we remove the track in the morning allowing your carpet fitter to lift the old carpet and fit the new; then we return later in the day to re-fit the track. This service starts from £150.
A: We are very happy to advise on the re-use of an existing stairlift. We provide a removal and refitting service starting from £300, however depending on the staircase layout in your new house some modifications or additional track may be required.
